HR Fundamentals: Training and Mentorship Programme
An intensive training and mentorship programme for young professionals taking their first steps in Human Resources management, and for people who want to move into the field.
By taking part you will not only gain practical knowledge across the different areas of HR — above all, you will build an HR mindset in line with international approaches, and learn from the very first steps of your career to look at HR processes as a whole rather than from a single angle. This philosophy, designed personally by Nargiz Ibrahimova in 2015, has played an important role for years in developing many HR professionals. In the programme you can also identify the mentor who will support you throughout your career.
- 1. Introduction to HR management: critical historical changes and modern requirements. CIPD Profession Map. Ethical standards for HR professionals. 4 hours
- 2. Recruitment system and interviewing skills. 8 hours
- 3. Performance management system. The performance cycle, feedback, the role of HR and line managers, reward and more. 8 hours
- 4. Fundamentals of training and development. The ADDIE model, Gagné’s Nine Events, “brain-targeted learning” and other theories; training administration. 8 hours
- 5. Core modules of the Labour Code — hiring, termination, leave, business travel, disciplinary action. 16 hours
The hours above are formal training hours only. Over the 2 months you will need to read and research extensively, give presentations, take tests and join additional online sessions. Formative assessment takes place every week, with a summative assessment at the end of the programme.
Participants receive individual mentor support with preparing a CV, applying for vacancies and preparing for interviews — aimed at those just starting out.
